California Traffic Tickets

First Post - Can I Fight My California Traffic Ticket & Win? by Jason R. Miller, Esq., Fix-A-Ticket, Inc.
The Short answer to this question is Yes.  But there are some step that must be taken to do this.  First you must schedule an arraignment date and be sure to actually appear at court on the date and time set for arraignment.  Second, at the arraignment you must plead not guilty and set the matter for trial.  Some courts will ask that you post your bail - the amount of your fine plus penalty assessments - you can request that you be released on O.R. so that you do not have to post bail.  Then do not forget to see the clerk to get a trial date.  Afterward you must be sure to attend court on your trial date.  If the officer fails to appear ask that the matter be dismissed for a failure to prosecute and you win.  If the officer shows ask him if he is willing to dismiss - you never know you may catch the officer on a good day.  If not then prepare for your traffic trial.
